Research Area:

Our research group focuses mainly on fabrication of highly efficient (optimized energy density and power density) energy storage device like hybrid supercapacitor, which takes the advantage of both battery and supercapacitor type materials. In the broader context, prime object of our research group is to thoroughly understand the principle and mechanism of supercapacitor and based on that synthesize high surface area, porous, nanoarchitechtured electrode material with good electrical conductivity and excellent stability. As an energy-harvesting device, we are trying to design highly innovative piezoelectric and triboelectric nanogenerator with high performance, eco-friendliness and cost-effectiveness. Both inorganic material and organic material are part of our ongoing research work. Our research does not confine in the field of energy storage or energy harvesting but we are also working on the synthesis of biocompatible, corrosion resistant hard coatings to prevent metal substrates for marine and bio-implant applications. The context future research direction will be widening in the energy and environmental aspects.
